This online workshop is an alternative or addendum to your February 14 plans, and includes:
⚫ a guided meditation focused on loving parts of your body you have a hard time with ⚫ a short talk on 5 self-love practices & the power of loving yourself ⚫ journaling exercise ⚫ & instructions on how to make your own self-love ritual kit
One of the things my good friend Sarah Gottesdiener taught me was that all great love begins with self-love. Self-love is a practice that has the power to repair past traumas, to alchemize our daily lives, and to invigorate our relationships with others. My work is specifically focused on teaching others how to love their bodies. As a fat woman of color, my self-love practice has saved my life and returned my sense of humanity to me after years of feeling ugly, unlovable and worthless.
This online workshop came out of my own experience with finding Valentine's Day difficult. During the years I have been single, this day has often left me feeling like a total, abject loser. And during the years I've been partnered, this day has often left me feeling anxious about participating in the public display of romantic success. 2018 was a landmark year for my own self-acceptance, slowing down, prioritizing my needs and drinking a shit ton of tea.
I wanted to offer something for the people who want to celebrate Valentine's Day in the way I intend to - prioritizing and centering the recognition that the love for ourselves is the true cause for celebration.
Whether Valentine's Day causes increased stress or you just want to add an inwardly focused component to your February 14, I invite you to join me for Self Love Club on February 14, 2019 at 6-7am and/or 6-7pm Pacific! Please note: an email containing a link to the webinar will be sent to the email address linked to your PayPal account. If you'd like the email to be sent to different address, please include it in the notes during checkout.
