On June 15, members/supporters of the body image focused organization, About Face, called for a direct action in front of Victoria's Secret Union Square (in San Francisco) to protest restrictive sizing in stores like VS. I happily joined forces with my Fat & Fabulous sign! Most braved the fog in their skivvies while asking tourists and SFers to sign a pledge to love their bodies.
Prepping for the action. I'm an enthusiastic maker of signage! Those wet spots at the bottom are actually water droplets from my hair - I'd literally just gotten out of the shower and couldn't wait to get to coloring!
I invited Fallon to come with me and beforehand we had a "pancake action" at Fallon's place - including strawberries, nutella, eggs, pancakes and little tiny sausages! Oh, and really intense coffee.
