I learned a lot of things during my chat with Aimee and Rebekah of the "More Than A Mouthful" podcast - among them that Microsoft Surface doesn't support Google Hangouts (wtf, Microsoft? you don't get to opt out of Google stuff just cuz) but we made it work.
